pdb.help()

running under the debugger

Shows the pdb module help — the list of debugger commands — through the pydoc pager.

Syntax

pdb.help()

The function is undocumented and does one thing: pydoc.pager(pdb.__doc__). Inside the debugger the h and help <command> commands give help; outside, print(pdb.__doc__) prints the same text without the pager, which only gets in the way when nothing is interactive.

Examples

import pdb
print('continue' in pdb.__doc__)  # → True — тот же текст, что у pdb.help()
