A wrapper around the Tix widget library for tkinter. Removed in Python 3.13 — use tkinter.ttk instead.

Syntax

import tkinter.tix  # до 3.13

The module (Tix in Python 2) added extended widgets to tkinter: a directory tree, tabbed panes, scrolled fields. It was removed because the Tix library itself has long been abandoned and is missing from modern Tk builds. To migrate, replace import tkinter.tix as tix with from tkinter import ttk; tix.Tk() becomes plain tkinter.Tk(); the NoteBook tabs become ttk.Notebook, the HList and Tree widgets become ttk.Treeview, ComboBox becomes ttk.Combobox, and scrolling is built from a widget plus ttk.Scrollbar.
